OPC been a leader in the field of experiential team development and leadership programmes since the 1980's.
The programmes at OPC are developed to ensure maximum learning is gained through the outdoor experience. Research shows that people who participate in such programmes experience a considerable change within themselves. As new skills are developed, friendships are forged and positive gains are made in self-esteem.
Unlike competitive sports, participants succeed simply by participating. There is no loser; rather winning is by experience shared. This has tremendous implications for individual staff members and by strengthening individuals in a company, that company is also made stronger.
A comprehensive range of training packages are available to organisations and businesses, from fun incentive sessions to facilitated programmes with focused business outcomes. All programmes are designed around client objectives to ensure maximum relevance and application to the workplace.
Residential programmes can be accommodated at both of our beautiful and unique wilderness centres which are located at Tongoriro National Park and Great Barrier Island. Non-residential 'off-site' training programmes are also available.
Our centres are also conference/accommodation venues and provide the perfect setting to focus on your business.
OPC Tonariro has two purpose-built facilities; the Carter Holt Harvey Leadership Centre and the Genesis Energy Outdoor Leadership School*
OPC Great Barrier has a selection of options; the main facility, and self-contained houses and cabins.
